Snow Day

Sunday when I was posting the last entry on my blog I was thinking about how unpredictable the weather can be at this time of the year.
It proved my point on Tuesday.
Because Monday was Presidents Day, all of the Monday classes were moved to Tuesday, which could mess you up if you are not paying attention. I had a meeting at the Brigham City campus at 12:30 on Tuesday so I drove down at noon and then just stayed until my classes which started at 5:15. By the time my last class ended at 10:30 I had about 9 inches of snow on top of my car. With the weather behaving that way I think there may have been at least a few people who looked out their window and said "no, way am I driving to school in this." So the end result for me was that I was the only student who was there in one of my classes . It is actually a fairly small class anyway. (That is one of the things I like about the Brigham City Campus, with small classes you get a lot more personal attention.) So, my favorite teacher this week is Dr. Christopher Johnson who still went ahead and held a class just for me although he could have just gone home at a sane hour and told me to read the chapter in the text book! I actually have two psychology classes this semester with Dr. Johnson who teaches distance education classes from the Snow College Campus. The class of one was really fun, it seemed as much like a conversation as it did a lecture. Thanks, Dr. Johnson!
On the downside, I got home to find that the snowplow had blasted my Suburban so hard that it broke two windows and filled one side of it with snow and glass. I didn't think we were parked too close to the road; we measured it and the plow had to throw the snow 33 feet to hit my Suburban. My Hubby called the County the next morning and I think they are going to pay for the damage.
